I have difficulty beleiving this narration, can you provide authenticity for the story?

The reason is that a Muslim is not allowed to make Dua for a non-believer (unless it was for Allah to guide that person), at the least an Aualia of Allah would know this.

Praying for mercy for a non-Muslim. Nawawi stated in his al-Adhkar that… it is permitted to pray for guidance for non-Muslims, good health and well-being (`afiya), and the like of it, because of the hadith of Anas (Allah be pleased with him) that, “The Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) asked for water and a Jew gave him some, so the Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) said to him, ‘May Allah make you beautiful,’ so the man did not see grey hair till he died.” As for after their death, it is impermissible (haram) to make dua for forgiveness and the like for a non-Muslim, for Allah Most High said, “It is not for the Prophet and those who believe to pray for the forgiveness of idolators even though they may be near of kin after it has become clear that they are people of hell-fire.” [Qur’an, 9: 113] There are hadiths that indicate this, and there is scholarly consensus (ijma`) on this matter.” [al-Mawsu`a al-Fiqhiyya, Kuwait]

Asslamo Allaikum,

Making general dua for Non-Muslim may be permissible but in case Queen Victoria:

a) Destroyed the Muslim rule in India

b) Abrogated aspects of Islamic Shariah and implemented British rule

c) Killed Muslim men & women

d) Destroyed aspects of Islamic Culture and introduced western values

so for destroying hundreds of Masajid in India she made one in UK? Which Aulia-Allah will make dua for such a person?

IF this story is accurate, it goes against the Ghayrah of a Muslim (let alone a Wali of Allah (SWT)).

Brother i know that urs piont are right but what happened to muslims that was due to muslims itself.

Allah has him self mentioned in the quran ki if u people will not follow the path of islam properly then u will be ruled by the peole which are worse so u know the history of mughals what they did how they spent their life and This Auliya Allah has stopped Queen Vicotia by doing this in future.

no offense brother, here are what seem to be the facts...and no record of a queen victoria mosque.

1636 A Chair of Arabic at the University of Oxford was established and it was known that Charles I collected Arabic and Persian manuscripts. Christian scholars of the era wrote favourably of Islam including Dr Henry Stubbs.

1641 Document refers to "a sect of Mahomatens" being "discovered here in London".

1600's British East India Company was formed to cash in on the eastern route spice trade. British control of India resulted in a gradual migration of many classes of Indians to Britain.

1860 Existence of the first mosque in Britain at 2 Glyn Rhondda Street, Cardiff, recorded in the Register of Religious Sites (now maintained by the Office of National Statistics).

1877 Queen Victoria became Empress of India and several Indian servants and spouses joined the royal household. Her favourite member of staff was Abdul Karim who gave the Queen lessons in Hindustani and received the title ‘Companion of the Indian Empire’.

1886 Founding of the Anjuman-I-Islam in London, later renamed the Pan-Islamic Society.

1887 William Henry Quilliam (Shaikh Abdullah Quilliam) embraced Islam and led a small community in Liverpool. In 1889 the community rented a house, 8 Brougham Terrace, to serve as a prayer hall. He would personally call the adhan - the call to prayer - from one of its upper windows. The community was soon able to purchase the rented property and also 9-12 Brougham Terrace, which became the Liverpool Muslim Institute. Following a visit to Turkey Abdullah Quilliam was given the title 'Sheikh-ul-Islam of the British Isles' by the Sultan. He founded a weekly journal, The Crescent, which was published from 1893 to1908. Quilliam is buried at Brookwood Cemetery, near Shah Jehan Mosque, Woking.

1889 Establishment of the Shah Jehan Mosque, Woking, with an adjoining student hostel, under the patronage of the Indian Muslim princess, the Begum of Bhopal. It was the base for the journal ‘Muslim India and the Islamic Review', re-named as 'the Islamic Review' in 1921. An early editor was the charismatic Khwaja Kamal-ud-Din, a barrister originally from Lahore.

Taken from another site : The idea for the mosque came from Dr Gottlieb Leitner, a remarkable scholar who spoke many languages. In 1881 he bought what had been the Royal Dramatic College in Woking. He used it to house his new Institute of Oriental Learning and Literature. He then had the Shah Jehan Mosque built next door in 1889. It was mainly paid for by Begum Shah Jehan, the ruler of Bhopal State in India.

Queen Victoria took a great interest in Islam. For many years she employed two male Indian servants, Mohammed Buksh and Abdul Karim. Abdul Karim became an important secretary to the Queen. They would both join the worshippers at the Shah Jehan Mosque when the Queen was in residence at Windsor.

In 1913 Khwaja Kamal-ud-Din saved the mosque from destruction. He set up the headquarters of the Woking Muslim Mission at the mosque. The Mission published the first English translation of the Qur’an (Holy Book) in 1917.

The mosque has played a part in attracting a large Muslim community to Woking. A number of buildings close by have been restored. These are used as extra prayer halls and for educational and sports purposes. The mosque now runs a school and takes an active role in the community.

1910 Syed Ameer Ali convened a public meeting at the Ritz Hotel for the establishment of the London Mosque Fund for "a mosque in London worthy of the tradition of Islam and worthy of the capital of the British Empire". He was the first Indian to be appointed Privy Councilor and to be given membership of the Judicial Committee, the then Supreme Court of the Raj. On retirement in 1904 he settled in Britain with his English wife; his sons Waris and Tariq subsequently served as trustees on a number of the first mosque projects in London.

If that was really the case i think most UK muslims would know about it. i mean we still havnt forgotten about the kohinoor, so how can one forget about one of the first mosques and even that built by a non muslim...?
